Frank Smoke’s House is open! A new shop combined with restaurant and diner. This is located at the Oostenburgervoorstraat in Amsterdam, only a few doors away from the original building where the smokehouse is located. Heyligers made the interior design with the bar and kitchen at the heart of the new location, it’s form and material referring to the traditional smoke houses. Burned wood cladding forms a contrast to the light, calm rest of the interior.
The guests can enjoy the delicious salmon while sitting next to the big drying cabinet that is displaying the fish and other smoked products by Frank. During the day the shop is linked to the diner where people can have lunch or enjoy coffee at the bar. When the evening falls, and the restaurant comes to life, the warm lighted interior of Frank’s Smoke House forms a cozy new focal point in the neighourhood.
